Leapfrog consists of a group of business professionals from
a wide range of businesses and professions who meet to achieve
five primary goals and objectives:
- Increase sales by employing each member of Leapfrog to
seek out new business opportunities/qualified referral leads
on behalf of our fellow members on an ongoing basis.
- Share information and our expertise freely among the group
to improve business and personal performance.
- Work collaboratively to solve our individual and collective
business challenges.
- Build a networked group of business professionals to work
on joint initiatives that strive to reduce our cost base
and increase overall profitability of our individual businesses.
- Increase knowledge, enhance skills and create a forum
for the exchange of ideas and information.

Leapfrog is a quantum leap
for independent business owners.
Now that you have taken that quantum leap into the world
of entrepreneurship, you might find that there are levels
at which your resources are slightly lacking.
Enter Leapfrog, the York Region based consortium developed
to springboard independents to success on a multitude of levels.
Leapfrog was founded with the intention to bring together
a unique blend of professional expertise that would foster
an environment were business owners could share their insights
and simultaneously benefit from the knowledge that associates
from other disciplines could offer.
"Through support and education, we are committed to combining
our resources,  thereby
creating greater opportunity to achieve new heights in all
aspects of our existence", explains Leapfrog founder Roxanne
Henderson. "We don't want our young businesses to become a
statistic. And Statistics Canada finds that of all companies
started, just about a third fail within a year, and half fail
within two years. By five years, approximately two-thirds
are gone, but after five years the rate of discontinuation
drops rapidly. This is largely because we aren't equipped
to think outside of our area of expertise".
It might be argued that this intuitively applied logic is
one of the many reasons why Leapfrog is flourishing in so
many ways. Beyond that, members are generously and openly
sharing insights into their areas of expertise thereby empowering
one another to become completely independent as professionals.
The Leap Frog leadership team invites and entertains applications
from professionals who exceed in their field both ethically
and academically. They welcome the opportunity to develop
a stronger epicentre while simultaneously and generously sharing
their knowledge and support. As a result, the core group is
becoming more dynamic by the day. And because there is only
one representative from each profession allowed onboard, the
likelihood of a conflict of interest arising is pretty much
non-existent. In the final analysis, Leap Frog recognizes
that we each have our unique and precious gifts to share with
the world. When we combine our talents with a pool of not
so similar talents, the possibilities are endless.
Leap Frog is a not-for-profit organization that welcomes
the opportunity to share their networking model with professionals
and organizations. They meet at Shoeless Joe's at 18947 Woodbine
Ave. in Sharon, (Mt. Albert Rd. & Woodbine Ave.) at 7:30 am
on the first Thursday of each month.
